Welcome to Awash's applications, and thank you for your interest! Before applying, please be sure to read the FAQ!

For new players, there is an application cap of however many applications will bring us to the game cap of 80; we will only be reviewing the applications received that fit into that number.

For current players, there is no cap. Please feel free to submit an application for your second character if you would like to; that application will not count towards the application cap.

Please note that a reserve is no longer required to app, as we will not be having a reserves round before application rounds any longer with the small number of slots that are open!
Please paste your app into the comments; do not link to your application. This is for the sake of fairness when judging applications.
Please do not delete and repost your application. That makes it difficult for the mods to keep count of how many applications have been submitted!
If you receive revisions, you will have 48 hours to submit your revisions before the application is automatically declined.
If your application is declined for any reason, you may contact the mods here or via PM for more information; however, there is no guarantee the decision will change.

Background/History: She doesn't have much here, but she's kind of a side character and we're only just touching on her history in the manga. She was invited to this detective agency as the only doctor by her close friend. Her past is hinted at to be a bloody one, and one she's not proud of.

Strengths:

Yosano holds herself with grace and dignity, but above all with independence and confidence, which to her may seem to be the same thing. She's very prideful by nature, and rarely shows weakness, even in times of great stress. Generally speaking, she portrays herself as composed and calm. However, piss her off and the more combative nature shows. Close friends and coworkers will also see her more sarcastic, sassy brand of independence. She will gladly take the time to tell anyone off who undermines her status as both a proud doctor and a prouder woman, being a feminist to her core.

Being a doctor with no real schedule and usually on stand-by for emergencies, Yosano's very adaptive. The detective agency always faces new things to investigate, and even more so in a world where abilities take many different forms. If there was a way to describe her adaptability, it would be "observant and intuitive, yet rational". She can inspect her situation, and then take her observations and instinctively run with them in a very level-headed manner. To put simply, she's more likely to improvise something than she is to take a step back and come up with a plan.

Finally, she is extremely reliable. If she is aware that her team or friends are in danger, she will immediately check and see if everything is alright. She also frequently asks if they have come back with any injuries. One may argue that this is because she wants to "treat" them with her ability, but she does genuinely care about their health, even going so far as to express concern in any abnormalities. She's not exactly the leader type, but she's taken charge in situations where no one else seemed suited to do so. Being the agency's only doctor, Yosano doesn't overlook that she needs to be dependable and prepared for anything.

Weaknesses:

Due to the nature of Yosano's ability, her treatments may come off as very sadistic. This blends in with her personality as well, showing disappointment when her would-be patients say they aren't hurt, and peppering her everyday conversation to coworkers with bouts of sarcasm. This also makes the others she works with avoid her when they can, even going so far as to avoid getting hurt, so they don't need to face her "treatments". Even while fighting the enemy, she'll often have a sadistic smile, while holding her weapon of choice (generally a cleaver).

In contrast to her confidence, Yosano is very strong-willed and determined... to a fault. While Yosano has taken charge and gone off to do things her way, her way isn't exactly always right or thought out well enough. If left to her own devices, she's been shown to rely on her intuition over any plans, shown predominantly in a situation where she was meant to find a serial killer, but instead of interrogating suspects, she waited in a lone room with an axe to fight the killer herself (and died temporarily for it). She firmly believes that she'll be able to tackle a situation head-on.

Yosano is a very skilled doctor, but in a world where people have gifts, she's also very curious about things. How people can heal themselves, how something new happened, to to cure things she's never encountered before, etc. Because of this, Yosano's rather meddlesome with people's affairs. If you lost a leg and somehow grew it back, without asking she'll grab your leg to examine it thoroughly and figure out how the hell you managed that. Did you go out to do a dangerous mission? She's going to check on you and ensure you're not hurt anywhere.

Powers/Abilities:

- She has a gift, "Thou shalt not die", explained in her own words: "can cure an wounds. Even my own wounds. But the necessary conditions are harsh. It can only cure lethal injuries. If I want to cure moderate injuries, I have to half-kill my patient first." It works on any physical injury (no sicknesses or poisons). For example, if someone has a scratch on their arm, she has injure them further until they're brought the brink of death before she can heal it (along with the injuries she caused, of course). When her ability is activated, the wounds healed are altered into butterflies that dissipate after a short while.

Other Noteworthy Traits:

- In addition to her ability, she's also a legitimate doctor- and a very good one at that. So she can tend to the sick and injured if needed.
- She's very observant and intelligent, probably traits she's improved on while working with the detective agency.
- While she may look a little dainty, she's been shown on multiple occasions to hold her own in a fight, punching some a good distance, breaking a grown man's finger, kicking mafia members to the ground-- to name a few examples.

Weapons & Other Special Inventory:

- Her bag, full of essential doctor things, and some other... "essential" doctor things. To elaborate:

- Suture kit
- Cleaver
- Mallet
- Various sharp knives
- Bone saw
- Scalpel
- Some small emergency medical supplies

- A box of matches for sterilization
- Her phone (Though, it'll be useless here, she'd still have it on her person)
* Special extra item: Another stylish outfit, suited for colder weather.

Color: Yellow. For not much reason beyond the fact she wears a gold butterfly in her hair-- but I think the feeling of the color yellow fits her value on human life. #C7BC4E is the color I got when colorpicking her butterfly pin!
