Character Info

Character's Name: Lottie Person
Character's Canon: Snotgirl
Character's Age: 26
Canon Point: After surviving being drugged by Caroline and leaving the hotel, end of Vol. 2
Background/History: Here is the link! But since the wiki is a little scarce on canon events, I'll summarize it:
  • At the beginning of the series, Lottie is left alone to lament her life, and life choices, at 'Hater's Brunch' when her friends ditch her last minute. Which leads her to her next decision - stalking her ex online. She ends up meeting Caroline by coincidence at a coffee shop not long after when they mix up their orders.

  • They exchange numbers and Lottie swears on a new life, going out with Caroline to a bar only to spot her ex and his new girlfriend, Charlene. She proceeds to isolate herself and cry, only for Caroline to shove her way into the stall Lottie locked. It ends with Caroline slipping on the pills Lottie drops, her head left bleeding out on the floor.

  • After the incident, it cuts to Lottie about to call 911, freaking out about what just happened and having flashbacks to Caroline's head cracking and bleeding throughout her day to day. She doesn't get arrested, but she is visited by a police officer with her bag of bloodied pills in hand.

  • New Years comes around, with Lottie suffering humiliation on different levels from different people. Caroline sweeps her away to talk to her, Lottie sweeps away to talk to Charlene, and when the clock strikes midnight Charlene kisses Lottie. Caroline appears, holding Lottie in her arms, before pushing Charlene off the ledge of the building.

  • Lottie cuts contact with Caroline, only for her family member (?), Virgil, to convince her to talk to her again. Due to this intervention, they leave on a trip together - Lottie, Misty, Meg, and Caroline. With Caroline continuously pushing everyone's buttons to the brink of chaos, taking joy in everyone's reactions.

  • At the hotel during the convention Lottie gets into fights with various people - but especially the ghost that's haunting her. It's another fashion blogger who was found dead in a hotel not far from where they were at. She follows her around as Lottie's terrible life comes to play.

  • After that it's revealed someone was murdered that same night. Misty reveals to Lottie privately that the very same girl who died came to them (Misty, Meg, and Caroline [after they ditched Lottie to go drink in the hot tub]) and started blaming Caroline for the disappearance/death of ghost girl. Lottie confirms with the ghost that she indeed knew who murdered girl was, unable to come to terms with the possibility Caroline had something to do with it.

  • The next day, Caroline drugs the girls with brunch Virgil prepares before being led out into the desert under the pretense for a photo shoot. Lottie insists that Caroline and her go first, for science. The drugs kick in, all of them freak out, and Caroline laughs at the absurdity of it all and tells her she drugged the tea. Lottie cries, Caroline laughs, and they kiss. Lottie is then rescued by her former intern after experiencing a vivid hallucination of ghost girl being murdered by Virgil with Caroline in the room.
Strengths:
ego: Lottie thinks the world might as well revolve around her. That, someone as hot as her, she deserves to have all the good things in life. That she shouldn't struggle or have to put up with her boring friends. Her livelihood is dependent on people accepting her, supporting her, and putting Lottie Person on a pedestal. So it only makes sense that she do the same so other's can follow in her footsteps! Throughout the series, we see Lottie thinking herself above some of the things her friends do, citing it to be 'boring', 'stupid', or 'gross'. Most people , if not everyone, Lottie meets she considers to be below her very specific standards, and by extension someone she shouldn't associate with. But it's also with this absurd ego and self-absorbed attitude that gives her the gall to do all the ridiculous things she's done in canon - like push her enemy into a pool at a party, forgive someone under the pretense that she's such a good person, and confidently tell her friends exactly what she's thinking even if the timing is terrible.

emotional: Lottie is always seen having large reactions to what people would consider small things, all due to her ability to overthink and nitpick every detail. Sometimes it doesn't help her, but most of the time it gives her an idea of what other people might be thinking in their own emotional states. She's certainly not the most intuitive person, but she tries. Despite being so self-centered, Lottie makes a decent enough effort to show her shitty friends she cares about them. She tried to show empathy to Charlene, despite her humiliating her. She helped Meg after her breakdown, during Meg's breakdown, when Caroline bailed on Meg when she needed help. In tears, she confessed to Caroline she doesn't understand her, leading up to them starting to date. Being emotional gives Lottie power over those who are trying to take advantage of her, and the courage to stand her ground when she thinks someone is encroaching on her territory.

earnest: Despite all the negative traits Lottie has, she does want to be accepted by the people around her. Whether it's for what she presents herself to be, or what she really is, doesn't matter in the long run. Even if she can act particularly rude or callous towards those she cares about, Lottie still makes the effort to be nice and understanding towards people. Despite having such a loud online presence, in person Lottie tries her hardest to be seen as very cool. As trendy, as chic, and definitely not as bitter or as awkward as she really is. In reality, she lives a very sheltered life in the sense that it revolves around exposure for her work. The real Lottie is a very tender person, easily influenced by other people's opinions and comments and chooses to follow rather than lead.
Weaknesses:
insecure: Underneath the calculated performance of being 'Lottie Person' lies a little troll that likes to be a slob, messy, and all around disgusting in her house. Lottie separates her 'real' self and her 'online' self due to an assumption that no one could even stand her real personality, how she really acts, so she puts up a front. Both to spare her feelings, and promote her online presence. The real Lottie has a hard time expressing herself, and her feelings, clambering up at the sight of conflict or confrontation. But the Lottie everyone knows is sassy, funny, relatable, totally clever without any of the effort. The illusion is seamless! Because she feels a distinct divide between those two selves, her insecurity goes as far as Lottie gaining validation from the praise and compliments of other's - strangers or otherwise. It's what keeps her afloat, gives her some semblance of a reason to work.

petty: Petty is Lottie's middle name. Lottie lives off of being petty and spiteful towards the people that even slightly inconvenience her life (ex. pushing her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend in a pool because they wore the same dress [and put real milk in her latte]) or threaten her job. It doesn't matter if you're a stranger, or even her friend, she holds nothing back when it comes to expressing her displeasure or what she really thinks of everyone's attitudes.

shallow: Lottie is the very definition of shallow. Her occupation as a fashion blogger doesn't allow any less - she has to be seen as nothing short of perfect. By extension, she puts the same judgement people put on her to the friends and strangers around her. She cares about appearance more so than personality in just about everyone she meets, even deciding whether it's worth befriending them based off of that alone. If someone she meets isn't inherently good looking, or popular, she doesn't bother learning their name. Lottie even has a hard time remembering people she meets unless she gives them nicknames-- it's more common for her to forget people entirely.

Powers/Abilities: None! Just a regular person.
Other Noteworthy Traits: She's really good at stalking people online.
Weapons & Other Special Inventory: She'll be bringing in just the clothes she's wearing and the suitcase - filled with various shoes, articles of clothing, and makeup - she has in her hands as she's leaving the convention. As for the extra item, a box of tissues.

Color: Yellow! Chosen for aesthetics, since it's gives a nice contrast with Lottie's green hair.

Sample: TDM toplevel, and another thread.

[ OPTIONAL ] World Aspect: N/A!
